El Sol Contracting & Construction Corp. (El Sol) is a General Contractor specializing in bridge, highway, and roadway rehabilitation that has been performing work in the NYC metropolitan area since 1980. In the past 39 years, we have grown and evolved and have successfully performed heavy construction projects, valued from $1 million to over $250 million, for NYSDOT, NYCDOT, PANYNJ, MTA Bridges & Tunnels, and NYC Transit Authority.  Our schedule of completed projects is extremely diverse in complexity, description, and size, yet we strive to maintain quality by consistent and careful attention to each and every project.

• We have completed infrastructure projects on some of the region’s most important and heavily trafficked, transportation facilities including the Brooklyn Bridge, Verrazzano Narrows Bridge, RFK Triboro Bridge, Throgs Neck Bridge and the George Washington Bridge. 

• We have also worked on every major highway in the NYC area.

The firm, headquartered in Maspeth, New York, maintains a full-time staff of roughly 250 employees (approximately 50 supervisory employees) during peak construction season, self-performing approximately 65% of our work. We are also proud that our key employees have been with us for long periods. Being a family owned firm, we take a “hands-on” approach to every single project, from the bidding process to final acceptance.
